The Visitor Center – located between Chipotle and Rock Bottom – is designed to be a place where visitors and residents can learn about options for recreation, dining, shopping, hotels and attractions.
The new visitor center occupies space donated by Fifth Third Bank. Furniture retailer IKEA in West Chester donated furniture and decorating expertise; Waltz Business Solutions donated audio/visual equipment; and Cincinnati Bell donated telephone and Internet connections.
Several other businesses and organizations also donated resources, including Duke Energy, 3CDC and the Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network.
The convention and visitors bureau is searching for volunteers to staff the center and assist visitors on everything from directions to restaurant recommendations.
Residents interested in volunteering can go to the convention and visitors bureau website or contact Devlin Ruckel at the Cincinnati Police Department at 513-352-4569.
