Beautiful From the Ground Up
Inspired by the work of artist Anni Albers, the pattern in the granite surface resembles a woven fabric laid over the Square. Using 8 colors and 3 finishes, the intricate banded pattern continues up and down stairs and over walls, creating natural zones or “rooms” within the Square. Natural colors complement the landscaping and the Fountain’s water theme. Lighter tones beneath the grove of trees to the north will help keep that shaded space a little brighter.
